Oh the deep deep love of Jesus (week 2)
''Underneath me, all around me
Is the current of Your Love
Leading onward, leading homeward
To Your glorious rest above''
This is what I have been experiencing this week so so much. His deep deep love. Is just really unfailing. And not only for others. But for ME as well. In this blog I will share something about my weekly schedule, the highlights of my teachings and.... MY OUTREACH location :D. It's a long blog, but worthwhile reading :) !!
Last week has been amazing. I love being around here. We learn SO much every day. Someone described it as if you're having a fire hose being held in front of your face. You want to drink all the water that is coming towards you, but it's just not possible. So much information, goodness and wisdom.! God has changed SO much in me. We talked about creation, how the earth was made and how God loves us and that He was preparing the earth before He put His favorite of creation in the world. How perfect everything is made, so that we can enjoy it. How personal God is, and how we are made in His image. Etc. etc. How we can have an intimate relationship with Jesus in talking with Him. Inviting Him in anything we do into our lives. Not just prayer times, but during all of your daily routines. Even making a peanut butter sandwich :). He wants all of us. Not just the moments when we think ''now is the time to pray''.
We learned about intercession prayer (to pray for others, countries, politicians, etc). About who God is, how to listen to His Voice, how to let God work in your past, to admit things that went wrong in the past and let go off. God wants to forgive us for everything that we have done in the past, and wants us to live freely. Some students needed to forgive people who have hurt them a lot in the past. They forgave them. It was not easy at all. But eventually it was life changing for everyone. One girl just lighted up after this course we had. Such a burden that fell off, and it's like I have met a new person this week. Nothing that was in her anymore kept her from being close to God. His Truth is what our lives are all about.
My day during the week starts mostly around 6 am. To either work out/Skype/Have prayer time. We have breakfast between 7 and 7.30 am. From 7.30-8.30 am there is quit time. For those who do not know; this is time you spend between just you and God. You can read Bible, pray, walk, talk with God. Anything that you feel like doing for or with Him. These times are so amazing. I love it. Just to get to know God and His ways better. It makes my day start so intimate with my Savior. I love Him so much. He teaches me how to love, how to trust Him, how to rely on Him. The Bible gets so much more alive, reading out of it every day and going deep, having discussions about it. I love it!
At 8.30 am we start worship, and 9.30 am starts our class. Last week we also had one evening class that was really interesting! I do the cleaning here at the TC (training center). Together with 3 other girls. So we do this every day after lunch. After that we have some free time till dinner (which is often Skype time). After dinner we have some program in the evening also very often. The days are filled and I'm getting used to living with 30+ people while being stuck in the TC because it's to cold and to deserted to do/go somewhere. Haha. We do go out to the shops sometimes to get stuff we need. Also, we went out today, to a place called ''Shawano''. Our classmate Jacob lives here, and we went to visit his house and family and went... Sledding. (See pictures! Haha). It was nice to do some roadtripping. Also, during the trip, we got to pray for 2 people and we prayed over a shelter for the homeless we found on our way. Pretty awesome :) !
Yesterday we were going to pick our outreach locations! We had no idea what the countries would be before they were being revealed. We were starting with worship before, and asking God where HE wanted us to go to. Instead of letting our own desires lead us to the country we might wanted to go to. So during this worship/prayer time. I asked God where He wanted me to go. He was very clear. I had no doubt. He wanted me to go to Indonesia.
I prayed and asked God to show me something about what He wanted me to do on outreach. What does it mean, to go on outreach? Where does He want to use me for? I opened my Bible randomly on Luke 4:18-19
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Ok God :D! Let's do this! I am ready. I went upstairs at the stands the staff made of the countries we did not know before. I hoped Indonesia was there, otherwise, I would have doubted if I really heard God telling me this country. This TC has also never before been to Indonesia for outreach! So first I saw the stand of SA, than Scandinavia, India, Colombia... And there was it. Indonesia & Papa New Guinea :) !!! I decided immediately.
We will help people medically (Not a coincidence that I'm a nurse) through MeryShips!! It's a well known organisation that has ships, going to places where people need medical help: https://www.mercyships.org/ is the website. It is all volunteered and non profit. Medical help will be given where needed. We will go to orphanages for children with AIDS in these areas as well. It will be intensive, but so worth it. I am glad and excited to share God trough us serving.
The cost of this mission trip will be around $4000. If you feel like you are called to help fundraising for this trip, please follow your heart to do so. God is helping the needy trough us. We want to reach out for His Glory and not to have some nice trip for ourselves. Outreaches can be intensive, also considered the conditions we live in. I will still need about $2000 for this trip. I am praying and relying on God, because there is nothing else I can do at the moment :).
I love you all and thank you so much for reading my blog. If you do have any questions or want to know more about my personal walk with God during this DTS, feel free to contact me as I can't share everything on just one page, but I am glad to tell you all that Jesus is showing and teaching me.

Gaaf. En mooi hoe God zo nauwkeurig spreekt he? Love it.
De foto's die af en toe voorbijkomen op FB laten zien dat jullie plezier hebben met elkaar.
En zo goed om te lezen hoe je de lessen ervaart en je dagen gevuld zijn. God is zichtbaar bezig, in jou en anderen. Love it again.
Hier alles ok. Je vriendinnentje met husband nog gesproken, vrijdagavond, in de kantine van de sporthal waar ze nu ook op vrijdagavonden mee helpen. :-)
Ik moet nog even mijn preek doorlezen en dan ga ik onderweg to preach.
Be blessed my lady! Hug hug hug!!
